Queer Prom with The Nuffs, Ella Lamoureux and Guests

Celebrate Prom with the Elk Valley Pride Festival!

Join Queens Ella Lamoureux and the entire Nuff Family will be entertaining us with DJ Cona and SNCKS for an evening of dancing, drag, and inclusion!

Beverages available for purchase. Please bring government issued ID to partake in alcoholic ones. Please note that this is a 19+ event.

Dressing up is encouraged but respecting Prom as a safe space is MANDATORY!

Bring cash and/or card for purchasing beverages. Reminder: bring cash to tip the drag performers!

Prom will be held at the Fernie Senior’s Drop In Centre.

Things to Note:

  • Fernie Pride-hired private security will be on-site.
  • The room will not be well lit and will have ambient as opposed to fluorescent lighting. There could be flashing lights and there will be loud music.
  • There is no interior space for a more chill zone unfortunately but outside is easily accessible if you need a break.
  • The venue is fully mobility device accessible including washrooms. It will be a standing event, although some chairs will be provided for folks to rest at.
  • Washrooms are located on the same floor as the event. Gender neutral washrooms are available.
  • To ensure a comfortable event for all our guests, we ask that you please avoid wearing perfumes, colognes, or strongly scented products.
  • AED, basic first aid, and naloxone kit on site.

The Fernie Pride Society supports and connects the 2SLGBTQ+ community in the Elk Valley.  Incorporated in December 2016, the Society is a hub for 2SLGBTQ+ people and their allies, programming special events as well as providing resource referrals.
