Donations & Fundraising

Much like a membership, your donation helps us provide opportunities and advocacy for the Elk Valley 2SLGBTQ+ community. We are currently unable to provide tax receipts for your kindness but we are very grateful for your support and commitment to equality and inclusion.

Core operating expenses for Fernie Pride Society are approximately $30,000 per year. That covers things like insurance, our membership in Fierte Canada Pride, part-time administrator wages and meeting costs.

Fernie Pride’s goal is to reach $30,000 per year in non-grant revenue sources.  That means from donations, donations in kind, fundraising, memberships, event participation fees, merchandise sales, training program fees, etc. Your help achieving this ensures the long-term viability of the organization.

Traditionally, Fernie Pride Society hosts an online silent auction annually, thanks to the gracious support of local businesses and organizations.
