2SLGBTQ+ Youth Scholarship
Funding permitting, Fernie Pride is pleased to offer a scholarship to a graduating high school student from the Elk Valley or South Country.
Winners are selected by a subcommittee of the Fernie Pride Society Board, based upon essay submissions.
The 2SLGBTQ+ community in Canada has poorer economic outcomes than the heterosexual community. Providing funding for pursuit of post-secondary education (including trades), helps both the immediate and longer term outcomes for the queer community.
Donations toward the scholarship are greatly appreciated and can be made here on our website.
