Join us for a Lunch and Learn Workshop on Gender and Sexual Diversity for Tourism on April 6th in Fernie, BC.
Presenter Jason A. Kingsley, BCom, CFEE is a facilitator, event professional, and human rights advocate with over 15 years’ experience, who is passionate about creating authentic experiences that help shift personal and socio-political realities regarding diversity and inclusion.
The workshop will offer diversity and inclusion training regarding the gender and sexually diverse (GSD) community. They specialize in the service sector; however, are also happy to discuss training opportunities for other individuals and organizations who are interested.
This is a very informative workshop for local businesses and tourism providers that:
- are interested in the strategic and ethical benefits of diversity and inclusion,
- would like to create/promote a positive LGBTQ2+ culture in the workplace,
- have existing LGBTQ2+ customers or clients, and would like to know how to serve them better,
- are interested in attracting new LGBTQ2+ customers or clients to their business.

He works as the Program Lead, Event Management for Bow Valley College, is the President and Executive Producer of Calgary Pride, and Regional Director, Prairie Region for Fierte Canada Pride. Jason was also recently the Vice President of Travel Gay Canada, and worked on the organizations two-year strategic federal initiative in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Destination Canada to develop destination readiness for an international gender and sexually diverse market.Jason has a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management and holds a Certified Festival and Event Executive (CFEE) designation from the International Festival and Event Association (IFEA). He is currently completing a certificate in Leadership and Inclusion through the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI), and will be starting his masters in September 2018.
