Fernie Pride is marching again this year in the Griz Days Parade and we would love for you to join us and be a part of the celebration!

The theme this year is Griz Days GONE PLAID, so if you have rainbow plaid please bring it out of the closet! If not please feel free to dress up in your best Queer Gear, or not if you’re feeling a bit more conservative. There really is no wrong way! Our goal is to express our joy, celebrate and promote LGBTQ2+ culture in the Elk Valley, and show everyone we are here to support and connect LGBTQ2+ individuals in our community.

There will be music, there will be dancing in the street, and there will be rainbows!!! There will also be a lot of great friendly people, so make sure you join us. 🙂 This event is family friendly, so feel free to bring your little ones, last year they handed out more stickers than anyone else!

Parade starts Mar 3, 2018 at 5:30pm – 6:30pm

Lineup: Participants must line up behind the 901 Fernie on 3rd Ave and 10th Street at 4:30pm for judging – we’ll be easy to find just look for the big rainbow flags and the people wearing the Fernie Pride logo!

Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited

If you would like to give away candy or promotional items, it must be done so person-to-person by a walking participant along the parade route – we have stickers and flags to give away!

Children 12 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult.
